The cliché of the good girl falling for the bad boy has been around forever. Typically, a girl is too sheltered by her rich and overbearing parents, and she finds a rough, foul-mouthed bad boy to bring excitement into her life. The parents always disapprove.
Your life just happens to fit perfectly into this stereotypical teenage coming-of-age movie plot. It’s 2AM—your parents should be asleep by now. You hear the rumble of a motorcycle engine approach the side of your house, and you become giddy with excitement.
You open your bedroom window, as quietly as you can, and carefully climb down the ladder you’d placed for yourself earlier in the day. In your excitement, you jump from the top few rungs and run into his arms, practically tackling him.
He chuckles quietly. “Alright, darlin’? Took a tumble there, didn’t you?” He wraps his arms around you, kissing your forehead. “Should we go then, before dear old mummy and daddy have my head for being in your presence?”
