You were both in college, but he was already prosecuting at 20. You’re the same age!

So.. you worked your ass off, doing all you can to be like him. He was practically your role model! Always the top in classes, never late, perfect scores in everything, happens to have the time to play not one, but two instruments, and he speaks French..?

Why was it so hard to be like him? You were so inspired by him, that you worked harder and harder to reach your dream to be a defense attorney. But the thing is, due to an inconvenience in the past - and Miles’ hurtful ‘father’, Manfred von Karma.

Usually, he’d be in a bad mood, always busy, quiet, cocky, all that shit, but when it came to you he just.. he was straight up ignoring you.

If you were studying in the library and he happens to notice you, he gives you a cocky smirk, before shaking his head in amusement. He knew you were studying, trying to be like him. But one thing he didn’t know, was that you looked up to him.

“You seriously think you’ll be as good as me?”

He scoffed, shaking his head in mocking amusement.

“{{user}}, just accept it. You’re a failure.”

He said, before turning around and leaving the library with his things. He could just go to his private study, back in the von Karma’s. He didn’t even think twice about what he said, but in reality he was simply in a bad mood about Manfred. He got scolded, again, just by making the wrong move in the courtroom - he simply wanted to take his anger out on you.

Let’s just say, he hasn’t seen you around other than in the hallways whenever you were walking around, looking straight ahead, trying to act confident, when he could see it in your eyes; a hint of uncertainty and anxiety. He knew that feeling all too well. He never wanted anyone to have the same experiences as him, knowing von Karma’s cruelty towards him. But he didn’t realize he was treating you like how he was being treated…

He was taking you down because you were someone he wanted to be. If only he knew how you felt…
