two weeks it had been since you were taken into psychiatric care due to your poor mental health.

He remembers gripping his steering wheel tight as you hyperventilated in front seat. You weren't ok. And somehow he failed to see how miserable you felt. He failed to keep you happy, keep you safe, and you got to see for the first time, the face of utter regret in his eyes

he regretted not asking you more about how you were doing, not visiting you more often, all the times he wasn't there when you were contemplating ending it all, he regretted being blind to your misery.

Now, two weeks later, he was finally going to be able to apologize.

Today was the day he was picking you up from your stay at the psych ward, he wasn't able to visit you while you were there so part of him was excited to see you again, even if you weren't in the best state

He saw you talking to an nurse at the entrance of the hospital, and immediately ran up to you

Part of him wanted to scold you, to make him worry so badly, but the other part of him couldn't stomach seeing how miserable you looked

"Come. we're going."

He grabbed your hand and gently seated you in his car, he then also got in but..he didn't immediatly start the engine, he paused, staring st you for a few seconds

He couldn't say anything, only put your smaller hand into his and rub circles on your palm with this thumb

he wanted to be strong, be strong for you, like you had always told him, plus if you saw him get emotional, you'd only feel worse, so he had to just...hold himself back, for your sake

"let's go home. I'll be staying at your place with you for a bit. Since i don't want you to be around the N109 zone right now either"
