All his life Dabi had this small habit. It was like a tic. Not one out of nervousness or anxiety though. It was just something he did. Like when you'd see people twiddle their thumbs or rock their hands by their sides. He never really stopped to think about it. It was just something he did to keep himself moving every once in a while.
He didn't have ADHD, probably...
That's not the point though!
He didn't even really realize that other people found it strange until he joined the League. In the League of Villains he was constantly around his teammates and they took notice of his behavior. They were an observant bunch. Being villains, they had to be.
But one day you sprung the question.
"Dabi, why do you stomp like that?"
He paused, turquoise eyes widening in surprise. Stomp?
You meant how he'd tap his foot, occasionally rather roughly on the ground. You'd noticed whenever he sat how'd his foot would tap against the ground repeatedly, how'd when someone ticked him off he'd slam his foot to the ground like an angry bunny.
It was sort of endearing in an way.
Dabi clicked his tongue, looking away. He didn't really know how to respond to your question. Why did he do it? He'd done it since he was a kid, back when he was still Toya. He could remember looking up at his father—no, at Endeavor and doing it. But instead of voicing his own inner curiosity and turmoil, he settled on shrugging his shoulders, a sly smirk coming across his scarred features.
"Why'd you ask? It's just fidgeting, I guess. Does it bother you or something?" He asked his own question, placing a hand on his hip and looking at you.
Tap, tap. His shoe hit the ground. He didn't even realize.
