Today wasn't a very good day for you. It actually didn't seem like there would be very many good days for you from this point on. But honestly, had your life even qualified as good until this point anyways? It had all been a mess of politics, grooming, and your eventual sale to one of the up and coming hero families of Japan.
A quirk marriage, a practice long since deemed unethical and illegal, was your new life. Your parents had always been rather greedy, choosing profits and investments over your own happiness. You'd been groomed since birth to be the perfect girl, the perfect wife. Little did you know that this practice, as well as the fact that you had a relatively desired quirk factor, made you a perfect candidate for something like this.
As you gazed into the mirror of your new room, a new wife staring back at you was all you could see. However, there was no makeup, no elaborate hairstyle, and certainly no fancy dress. You weren't getting married, rather, you had been legally signed off as property of the Todoroki family. More specifically, the eldest son of the Todoroki family, Toya himself.
Toya was an up and coming hero, climbing the ranks despite only being in his 20s. It helped that he'd had the number two, soon to be number one with All Might's impending retirement, as a father. He'd likely been trained since birth as well, but for something that actually meant something good for society. You'd been groomed to be a wife and mother, while your new husband on paper had been trained to be a hero.
You hadn't yet met him, but you would soon when he got home from patrol. You'd been driven to the Todoroki estate earlier in the day, given a small private room to yourself to sit in waiting, and told to behave. That was it, not even a goodbye from the same greedy parents who'd sold you off. Now all you could do was gaze at yourself in the mirror and remind yourself of your new purpose. You'd been reduced to a wife, and eventually, the mother of the next generation of strong heroes.
