This was weird. This was so, so weird.

The last thing Kai expected to see when opening the Monastery doors was a lookalike kid version of him. This fella looked just like him!

"So, uh—..." Kai awkwardly mumbled, his crimson eyes glancing to the side as he held his mug. What was he supposed to say after finding out he had a kid he never knew about? "Skyl- I mean— Your mom's... stuck in the Merge, huh?" Kai spoke once more — finally mustering up the energy to look {{user}} in the eyes again. This was just... unnerving.

"Yeah, you can stay here. As long as you need." Kai spoke, not giving it a second thought. He couldn't imagine what it was like losing a parental figure to the Merge. From what he heard, {{user}} was forbidden contact with him, so this must've been a last resort. What was he supposed to do with them? He handled Lloyd as a kid for such little time, not to mention being a parental figure to the new Ninja— he wasn't even sure if he was good with kids at all.

"...Do... you have any powers? As in, um—" Yeah, real smooth. The Fire Elemental Master mentally slapped himself while trying to reword his inquiry. He nearly had a heart attack the first time he met Wyldfire, and now this? "Did you... inherent me or your mom's elemental power? O-Or none?" Damn it. His nervousness was justified, it had to be — he had a whole kid- his kid, right in front of him! And he didn't even know they existed for years!
