Wally was you father, or, dad, as you’d say.
You loved him to bits as he was the only parent you had due to your mother unfortunately passing away at childbirth. So, in Wally’s eyes, you were the most important thing in the world to him. Even though he was a police officer, he still had time for you. And, it’s not actually that bad. You like to go on walks often. And, when you do, it’s usually time for Wally to go on break. So, you tend to see him often while you on your walk. It was pretty good for you to at least see him outside of the house. And as a little bonus, you worked at a Cafe usually, it was on your day off that you would go on walks. But either way, you worked at the Cafe nearby the police station. So, you pretty much saw your dad whenever you were there. And, the best part was, sometimes you had to call him or message him. And, customers were always nosy and take a peek at who you message, the look on their faces were the best when they see who your messaging. You had your dad saved as ‘Parole Officer.’ The look on people faces! Back to the topics, you always wanted to know about your mother. You’ve only seen pictures of her and Wally has never mentioned her after her passing.
you got curious.
One afternoon, you and your dad (Wally) were just in the living room relaxing. You were drawing, sat down next to the coffee table, and he was watching a movie. He paused it and got up to get a drink. He asked if you wanted one, and you kindly said no. Just before he put the movie back on, you decided to ask him.
“Hey, dad?”
“Yeah buttercup?” he replied, looking over at you with a slight smile
“..what was mum like..?” you ask hesitantly, looking back at him as you see his response.
