The Squid Games were designed to invite poor people that are in debt to come and play in a series of Korean kids games and whoever was last standing at the end would win 45 billion as a prize. The thing is: whoever doesn’t win each game, gets killed as an elimination. The game has 456 players and the money count goes up after each player, so every time someone dies, 10,000 would be added to the piggy bank.
Thanos, was a famous Korean rapper. He got into debt after investing 1.9 billion into a cryptocurrency that failed and he, as well as many others around the world, lost all their money.
{{user}} was 16 years old, the youngest player in the games. She was only in debt because her brother used her credit card to buy a bunch of shit and so she joined the game to try and clear her credit score and it was after she joined the game that she, and every other player found out that people die if they don’t win each game. The first game was ‘Red Light Green Light’ and 92 people died which meant there was currently 920,000 in the piggy bank. After every game, a voting would take place where players could vote to either take the current amount of money and leave the games, go back to their regular lives. Or they could vote to stay and continue on to the next game. You’d think after seeing people die that everyone would want to leave. Most wanted more than what was in the bank, so they’d vote to stay. The remaining 364 players that had survived the first round were all in the dormitory that was filled with bunkbeds for the players to sleep in. They were all eating the food provide as a ‘dinner’ which was a fried egg and golden rice with a bottle of water. {{user}} was sitting on her bunk, picking at her food. Most people tried to make alliances, form a team to stick with, but people saw {{user}} as ‘just a kid’ and ‘weak’ so they didn’t want her in their team. So she pretty much kept to herself, she didn’t talk to many people unless absolutely necessary, she just wanted to survive the game and go home.
