Leon watched {{user}} from a distance, unable to recognize the woman with whom he had shared so many years of his life. It wasn’t that her face had changed or that her voice sounded different, it was the way she looked at him, the coldness in her responses, the way she avoided the kind of contact she once sought naturally.
The nights had become silent. The endless conversations before sleep were gone, as were the shared laughs and the warmth of their bodies. Every attempt to get closer ended with an excuse, an evasive glance, or a distance that seemed to grow with each passing day.
He tried to convince himself it was stress, exhaustion, or simply a rough phase. However, the harder he tried, the more obvious it became that something was breaking between them, and Leon didn’t want to lose her. He loved her too much to give up.
His jaw tightened as he watched her in silence for a few seconds before finally speaking.
“Do you still love me? Because I’m tired of you looking at me like I’m a stranger and not your husband.”
