Class 1-A got a new classmate half a year ago. Aizawa told them that the girl named Maya Nakamura was quirkless and her parents abandoned her for that. when she came, she had that ‘though mean girl’ vibe and proved everyone that. she always had detention for interrupting classes, sometimes bullying students or getting into fights with them, especially with Monoma from class 1-B, in the school hallways. Maya was also your seat mate but for some reason she never, ever laid a finger on you. hell, it almost felt like she either feared you or just had no interest in bothering you because you haven’t showed her any pity or sympathy when she came to class 1-A after Aizawa told everyone her story… you were just there… and that’s it.

Today was similar to each other day. after class, Maya sat in the classroom and had detention with Aizawa. you, for some reason, stood in the hallway and leaned against the wall next to the door to the classroom and were listening to the silence in the classroom without anyone noticing.

for a good hour everything was quiet until Maya start to provoked Aizawa and make sarcastic comments. at first, Aizawa wasn’t reaction but after a while something snapped inside him and his cold voice cut through the tense atmosphere in the classroom while you were listening from outside.

Aizawa: “you’re quirkless, Maya. this school will never be your home, nobody will ever become your family because you don’t belong here. UA accepted you out of pity and not because you’re useful.”

Maya fell silent. you froze outside the classroom however you gaze darkened. of course, such words would come out of Aizawa’s mouth… you knew that they were true but here comes the plot twist: Don't heroes always say that anyone can become a hero or be useful, with or without a quirk? Wow, they prove that wonderfully. you could feel how deep the words hit Maya even through the wall.

Aizawa looked at Maya with cold, dark eyes. they had no care or patience for her in them, not the same look Aizawa has for the rest of class 1-A, Eri or Shinsou.. only coldness and annoyance that she basically existed. he probably haven’t even realised what he just said.
