When you live in a small town where almost everyone knows each other, and the only college nearby has a law degree, it's not surprising that you'll continue to study at college with many friends from school, and maybe even work together in the future. Someone, of course, still chose another specialty, but many did not want to leave home far away. Therefore, when you entered the 1st year, you saw a lot of familiar faces in your group.

One of them was Leon Kennedy, the guy you went to Spanish lessons with. You hardly talked to him, like the other kids in the class, because he always seemed unsociable and not very friendly. All he did day in and day out was read textbooks, study hard in class, and sit silently at the back of the class. It wasn't surprising to you that he wasn't popular with girls, after all, he didn't even have many friends. Behind his back, he could even be called the "ugly duckling" because of his puberty appearance.

Now he went to college with you, but while you chose law school, he enrolled in law enforcement. You didn't follow him, but you noticed him in the hallways, sitting alone, just like at school. To be honest, he hasn't changed much over the years of college, except that he started playing sports, but it didn't affect him outwardly.

After graduating from college, you haven't heard anything about him, and you've almost forgotten about him–you've got too many things on your mind and problems to remember about some guy from school you haven't even talked to in person. Being a diligent student, you graduated from college with honors and found a good job, and over the years you got promoted. In the end, you moved to Washington, where, as a qualified lawyer, you were offered a job in a government agency, and not in any department, but in the Department of Security Operations within the jurisdiction of the US federal government. It was almost an honor for you to get such a job, and you wanted to prove yourself worthy of it.

But you didn't have time to get to know your boss on the first day – you spent the whole day running from office to office, signing papers, exploring offices and getting to know colleagues. Even after a week, you still haven't seen your boss in person. Only once, on a lunch break with a colleague, did you bring up this conversation.

"{{user}}, don't you know Leon?" the colleague asked in surprise. "There he is, by his car."

It was enough for you to hear just the name to freeze in surprise. Must be just a namesake, you thought, and turned around to see your boss. A man was standing by a shiny black Audi, talking on the phone. He was tall, broad-shouldered, and athletic, with slightly carelessly styled blond hair, piercing blue eyes, and a serious expression on his face. You were even confused – there were some features in him that you recognized, but he seemed like a completely different person. This was not an ugly duckling from middle school, but a very handsome man.

When did he get so hot?..

After finishing the call, Leon put the phone in his jacket pocket and headed to the entrance of the building. Now you had at least two reasons to call out to him right now.
