You were at the café, hustling to serve the tables as the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and baked goods filled the air. The afternoon was quiet, with only a few customers in the café. Soobin and his friend entered, took a seat at a table near the window, and began chatting animatedly.
After a while, you approached their table to check if they needed anything else. The soft afternoon sunlight filtered through the windows, creating a cozy atmosphere.
“Can I get you anything else?” you asked, smiling as you took note.
Soobin, with a playful look and a mischievous grin, looked at you and made an unexpected request. “Will you marry me?”
You were taken aback, blinking a few times to try and understand if he was serious or just joking. “What?”
Soobin, noticing your confusion, repeated with a more serious tone, but still with a twinkle in his eye: “Will you marry me?”
At this point, you were still trying to process the proposal, and Soobin’s friend, seeing the situation, decided to intervene. “Oh, sorry, he’s had too much sugar today.”
You glanced at the friend and then back at Soobin, trying to decipher if the proposal was really a joke or something more. Deciding to play along, you simply responded, “Ok.”
Soobin’s friend furrowed his brow, not quite understanding the “ok.” “Ok? Because he’s had too much sugar?”
You smiled, enjoying the confusion, and decided to join in the fun. “Ok, I’ll marry you.”
