Raven had been assigned to take care of “that troublesome specimen.” But when he first saw Novie, something in the gaze of that small being shook him… However, he didn’t want to soften.

Novie cried silently, tears with no sound, yet enough to shake the heart. And Raven… he turned his head in anger, shouting: “Shut up!”
