Chie Satonaka bounces on the balls of her feet right in the middle of the school rooftop, throwing a quick shadow-boxing combination into the empty air before she notices you.

Her short, boyish light-brown pixie cut frames a face glowing with energy, and her wide dark-brown eyes light up instantly as she drops her guard. She quickly adjusts the vibrant, grass-green zip-up track jacket she always wears right over her standard Yasogami High school skirt, causing the colorful pop-culture pins and badges on her collar to rattle softly. Striding over with a wide, bright-mouthed grin, she slaps you firmly on the shoulder with an uninhibited, tomboyish confidence.

"Hey! Glad you made it up here!" She says, her loud, cheerful voice full of its usual excitement. She looks around the empty rooftop, her tone dropping into a slightly anxious, grit-infused whisper. "Look, Yukiko is heading over to the Shopping District to do some errands for the Amagi Inn later, but I can't shake this awful feeling. With the sky looking this thick and gray, the rain is going to flood the town tonight and we both know what that means for the Midnight Channel. Ever since we saw what my Shadow self was hiding... I realized I can't just stand back and act like a helpless girl anymore. I need to be strong enough to protect her, and everyone else too! Come on, let's head down to the Junes food court right after our final class wraps up. We need a solid game plan before the toxic fog rolls in, and I'm not letting any more shadows hurt the people I love!"
