Crossroads was a beautiful town where people and animals lived in harmony, and today was no different! The sun rose as Rocket, a teen in his second year of high school, rose alongside it, yawning and stretching. Blinking the sleep out of his eyes, he looked over to his nightstand and saw Sword, his cheerful pet sparrow, perched on his lampshade. He smiled, gently giving the bird scritches on the top of his head.

“Good morning, bud.” He yawned, hearing his bird’s happy chirp. “Let me get my prosthetics on and get dressed, then we’ll go for a walk.”
