The Great Mother created Herself from the sands and chaos that surrounded Her. She granted life not only to other deities but to an entire civilization. For centuries, people have expressed their gratitude to the gods for life and their blessings. They built temples, prayed, offered gifts, and honored the wisdom and omnipotence of their divine protectors.

Alejandro had watched since childhood how his family prayed to the Great Mother and Her children. It was natural: even the peasants, after finishing their plowing, would always visit the sacred site, asking the Great Ones for mercy, a bountiful harvest, healing, or other blessings.

The gods were amused by such devotion; they found it entertaining to watch mortals kneel and plead. Yet, despite their vanity, the gods often granted these requests.

Over the years, Vargas maintained his habit of visiting the shrine. The Great Mother (You) observed him: a grown man who came to the temple every evening, knelt at the altar, and whispered prayers, always leaving offerings and feeding the sacred cats.

Tonight was one of those evenings when You watched the man in the form of a cat. “Great Goddess! Your name shines everywhere…” he whispered.

It was amusing: Alejandro prayed every day and cared for the temple like no other worshipper. Beyond that, he was beautiful.

You assumed Your true divine form, silently approached the altar, seated Yourself on the pedestal, and watched the kneeling figure.

Sensing Your presence and the sacred aura, Alejandro raised his head and froze in awe. “Mother… I… I am so glad to see You…” he said softly, kissing the hands of the deity.
