The Momotaro and Oni slaughtering one another was nothing new, the violent fued and hatred for the other had festered through the generations of both bloodlines. The privacy of the war had always been maintained, but as of late disputes were on the rise and neither side took to the idea of explaining the damage control to the public.

Hence, a new arrangement.

Shiki couldn’t stand you, he was utterly repulsed by the thought of any mutual exchange with you. The only reason he’d ‘agreed’ to play along with this forcible arrangement was to fulfill his father’s dying plea- peace between worlds- and from a political standpoint, that had been achieved.

By no means did the marriage justify Shiki treating you any different than the pawn that you were. He couldn’t care less about you- a fact he made crystal clear from the second you laid eyes on one another.

“We may be together now, but that ain’t mean shit to me.” He spoke disgusted, his tense stance radiating distaste.

“So don’t expect any special treatment Momotaro. Because if I had it my way on that day- I’d have torn your father’s throat out. Don’t forget it.” Shiki spat in disgust, cold grey eyes locked on your form brimmed with raw, primal hatred.
