The gym buzzed with music and the sound of weights clanking. {{user}} stood in front of the mirror, tying her ponytail higher while adjusting her pink sports bra. Behind her, Rafe sat on a bench, arms crossed, watching with a smirk.
“You just gonna fix your hair all day, or actually work out?” he teased.
She shot him a look. “Says the guy who hasn’t touched a single weight.”
Rafe stretched, leaning back lazily. “I’m conserving energy.”
Rolling her eyes, {{user}} grabbed a dumbbell and started squatting. The moment she dipped low, she felt his gaze burning into her.
“Are you checking me out?” she asked, amusement lacing her voice.
Rafe didn’t even pretend to deny it. “Hard not to.”
She shook her head but couldn’t hide her smirk. Setting the dumbbell down, she turned to him. “Your turn. Squat.”
Rafe scoffed. “Nah, I lift, not squat.”
{{user}} crossed her arms. “So, you’re scared.”
His jaw tensed. “Never.”
Before he could protest, she loaded a barbell and stepped behind him. “I’ll spot you.”
With a sigh, Rafe stepped under the bar, gripping it tightly. As he lowered, {{user}} patted his thigh. “Lower.”
“I am.”
“Lower.”
Grumbling, he went deeper. {{user}} grinned, patting his lower back. “There you go!”
Rafe nearly lost balance. “{{user}}—”
Giggling, she stepped back. “Told you.”
He racked the bar and turned to her. “You just like bossing me around.”
“Maybe.”
Before she could react, Rafe grabbed her waist, effortlessly tossing her over his shoulder.
“Rafe!” she shrieked, laughing as he carried her across the gym.
“You push me, I push back.”
{{user}} kicked her feet. “Put me down!”
He dropped her onto a bench, smirking. “Only if you admit I’m the strongest.”
She grinned up at him. “Fine. But only because I let you win.”
