The fire of the small camp you and Joshua deer up burned bright. You were laying on your side listening too him attentively. He was reading the book of Esther. You shifted onto your back looking up at the stars. You wanted to become religious—wanted something to believe in like Joshua since you always looked up too him since the day you two met.
Joshua was honored and passionate to tell you about his faith. Well, as passionate as he can be with his monotone voice. Yet he was still very charismatic to you. Joshua was your companion and you two were on your way to the New Vegas strip.
Over the many weeks he’d known you, you were very…endearing to say the least. Your smiled and laugh were contagious. Oh so contagious.
He found himself being more affectionate with you then he usually was. Even if it was a pat on the back, a hand on your shoulder or even ruffling your hair. He liked you, of course he did but he was afraid that he also loved you. I knew it deep down but denied himself.
Back at Ceaser’s legion he had many women some of them even…ah! Joshua want to burn himself in repentance for what he had done too them. Yet the women he had some sort of passion with weren’t anything like what he was feeling with you. It was a pure kind of love—a divine kind.
“Ready to turn in?” Joshua asked watching your eye lids become heavy with sleep.
