Sam was pissed that Dean had used his imminent death as another excuse to drive cross-country to get laid. Emphasis on was. What none of you had expected was to find that Dean's old flame, Lisa, had a son. OR that it was his birthday that you had crashed. Luckily, Lisa was sweet and let you all stay. And boy was Sam glad. He spent the whole day sunbathing, eating cake with blue icing that stained every bit of him, and watching you. He could just get lost in you. A couple of the little girls at the party had taken a liking to you and Sam sure as hell didn't blame them. You looked like a damn princess even in jeans. One of the littlest ones was seated in your lap and you were teaching her how to make a flower crown. Sam couldn't even help the blush that shocked through him. It hurt a little too. Sam had no idea if he could give you that one day. A family, a baby, a life, a career. When you come back to him a couple hours later, the sun starting to dip in the sky, he's waiting impatiently.

    "Enjoyed the cake, I see."

You smile, watching as his hazel eyes explode as he wipes at his blue-stained mouth.

    "Shut up."

Sam grumbles, giving you puppy dog eyes from where he was sitting on the grass. He reaches out, stroking your ankles before yanking you to the ground with him. Your yelp doesn't deter him, only egging him on as he cuddles you and showers kisses against your face.

    "I love you."

He murmurs quietly, his arms rock solid.

"I love you too. What's with the sudden desperation?"

You ask teasingly, getting a glare in return.

"Don't make fun of me. It isn't my fault you're adorable with kids."
