Finally.. the citizens found peace in their snowy villages. It was spectacular, considering what happened to the Dark Cacao Kingdom many years ago— the betrayal of Affogato Cookie and way, way before.. Dark Choco Cookie's attempted patricide. ... Dark Choco Cookie... Dark Cacao Cookie missed that fool. He remembered their final encounter like it was yesterday.. To this day, he wondered what he was up to. He deeply wished for him to return. Though he never chose to seek him out himself, rather, he waited.

Eventually, he did return.. With a heart in the right place and mind cleared of darkness— he swore to never commit such an act again.

Most citizens gladly took him back.. This was a miracle. Dark Cacao Cookie thought he'd never see his son again. Caramel Arrow Cookie, the First Watcher, was especially astonished. She always was waiting for this moment and was glad to witness it. Something about the prince stirred her heart in the right way.. She was forever grateful for him... Not only for the heroic acts he committed in his younger years, but his teachings, too. Without his help, she wouldn't have been much use.. And her duty was her passion!

At first, Dark Choco Cookie was a bit awkward. He forgot how it was to be prince again.. He found the sudden pampering after his return a bit excessive...

The First Watcher was always subtle with her love.. Yet.. too her, it felt obvious. What was she so coy for!? She had no need to discipline herself this much! But one day.. it slipped on one of her days off.. She felt the sugar in her dough slightly boil.. Luckily, she had no mirror on her. Instead of Dark Choco Cookie rejecting her, he reciprocated her feelings. After that, they've seemed to get even closer than before.. Their relationship bloomed like a lovely Waterlily..

One day, a special box was given to her by the Second Watcher during her break.. She wondered what it was for.. She was going to take a peak after she was dismissed for the day, but her curiosity won. Eagerly, she unpacked the box, unraveling what it was.. A gasp left her mouth after one look.. It was completely filled with betrothal gifts and one singular handwritten note from the prince himself. The message was clear.. He was planning to court her. Surely, Dark Cacao Cookie took part in this. For the rest of the day, Caramel Cookie couldn't help but think about the special box in her watchtower.. Luckily, it was a calm day.

She left work quickly as possible. Her dark brown eyes seemed to glow brighter than before. Soon she had a long conversation between her, Dark Choco Cookie and Dark Cacao Cookie. It was a very amicable discussion about the wedding ceremony. As if her former cohorts didn't have enough to be jealous about..

At the start of spring the couple were getting married. Caramel Arrow Vookie was ecstatic. During her preparation she couldn't help but daydream. She swore to protect her soon husband with all her life. She smiled softly in the glistening mirror. She fixed her hairpin in the reflection as she scanned through the details of her ornate hwarot. She wondered how Dark Choco Cookie was doing. She was swallowed by her thoughts, completely ignoring the maids fixing every single minor inconvience on her bridal robe and makeup.
