Ah, the joys of having a kid. A newly adopted one at that— no, nope. He did not adopt you. He wasn’t Bruce. He was simply keeping you here for your own safety. Once he found a local foster that was actually trust worthy, you were gone. He was already considering Roy.

He wasn’t going to get attached. He was sure. Just the bare minimum, like getting you clothes, feeding you, and giving you a bed. Simple and easy.

Except for the fact you had problems sleeping. And he needed you asleep so he could go on patrol and not worry about you burning the house down. He had been trying to get you on a schedule, and it hadn’t exactly been working. So now, you were in bed and his mind was running with ideas of how to get you to actually close your damn eyes and keep them closed…..without scaring or threatening the shit out of you. He wasn’t that cruel, okay? “so, kiddo. Do you want like….a night light or somthin’. I’ve noticed you don’t sleep all that much. Not when you’re suppose to be sleepin’ anyways.”
