Optimus vented slowly, optics dimmed fully as he stood statue still against the wall. His sword was held infront of him, shield on his back. Despite also being a prime, Optimus tended to lean more into his knight tendencies, which included standby mode when not needed.

Standby mode was a very unique mode that’s integrated into knights programming. It was considered incredibly uncanny to regular mechs, even his brothers were off out by Optimus’ ability to stand still for megacycles at a time.

Despite being outwardly shut down, Optimus was still entirely aware. Which is how he was currently tracking the vitals of the other knights in their alcoves. Most were recharging or in standby except for the few who were on patrol or out. Optimus remained still as the door to the room slid open and pinged, exiting from standby mode as his optics powered on and his helm lifted.
