Clarence was one of those angels that heaven didn’t always see a need for. Yet, every second-class angel would get assigned their own human down on earth to help, completely on their own, in order to earn their wings. That’s where Clarence came into play.

“Clarence,” The head angel, Joseph called, “You must hurry. A man on earth is about to throw away God’s greatest gift.”

In an hour, Clarence was watching silently from aside as George Bailey drunkenly made his way to the Bedford Falls Bridge, the cold river below. George was planning to jump, and Clarence had now or never to try to change his mind completely.
