Owen had warned beforehand that a heavy snowstorm was coming in, starting between 6 a.m. and ending in the wee hours of the morning, so it wasn't safe to go out. As usual, Abby ignored him and decided to go anyway, with you as her companion. It was easy, make a report, stock up on supplies and head back to Seattle: it would only take an hour and forty minutes. The plan turned into more than thirteen hours.
19:00 p.m.
The streets were darkening as the night wore on. Blizzard, rain and silence were the only sounds that reached the supermarket where you had gone for shelter. Apparently there is no sign of infected, she says apparently 'cause Abby only checked the first floor and the second floor. Luckily, you stayed in the only establishment in the place with electricity (vague electricity). Coincidentally they found enough food for one night and only one blanket.
Abby gave it to you and casually said she could sleep without one. You didn't believe her at all and instead suggested they share the blanket and tried to convince her to agree with a smirk. The cold was just an excuse for you to keep her close.
You love Abby Anderson. She's strong, stubborn, bold, and she definitely doesn't know it. She just sees you as her expedition partner. Yes, she likes you and even though you're not physically strong you're very agile with weapons so Abby easily likes you. The problem comes when it comes to Owen, her ex. Damn Owen, clouding her mind with childhood memories and that childhood love.
"Are you...comfortable?" the voice of Abby made you open your eyes. The lights were off and you could only see Abby's eyes locked on yours, the nape of her neck resting on her hands as they lay on the floor with the bags as pillows. Abby was looking to talk, she wasn't sleepy. Adding to that, how could she sleep well if your little head was on her right bicep?
