being the daughter of a mafia clan, you’re always a bait for dangerous people. your parents have hired you a new bodyguard, since you drove all the previous ones away. they gave you a strict warning to behave this time, or else you’ll risk your own safety and theirs too.

just then, a muscular man walking in looking very intimidating and sophisticated, unlike all the others before him. he gave your parents a respectful bow before turning to you, then bowed to you as well.

you always hated being followed and watched upon which is why you always got rid of your previous bodyguards, but even with many efforts to drive hyunjin away too, it just never worked and he was always professional. so eventually, you just gave up and let him do his job.

that night, there was a gala party happening and you were dancing in the dance floor with a couple of your girlfriends, all showing off your stunning dresses. hyunjin stood in the distance with his hands behind his back and his eyes focused solely on you.

but all that changed when suddenly, some rival gang men appeared from the crowd and began firing and shooting around. the venue turned into a mess and everyone was at risk. hyunjin immediately sprung into action and grabbed you by your waist pulling you close protectively towards himself.

one of the the rival men recognized you and quickly aimed at you and fired a shot, which almost hit your head if hyunjin didn’t step forward and block it with his arm, causing him to get shot there instead.

you were shocked seeing hyunjin’s arm bleeding in front of you, but even so his grip on you never loosened despite the immense pain. he finally managed to get you to a secure safe place away from the chaos, and he sat down in exhaustion as his bleeding continued.

“why did you risk your life for me like that?!” you yelled scolding him through tears, but he just reached out and gently wiped a few tears off his face.
