What had been taken from him a millennia ago now stood before him, like a tiny replication. Were his senses deceiving him?

It wasn't a surprise to anyone who lived in the Seireitei, or also known as Soul Society or the after life, that children - or rather young souls - grew up much slower. Take Hitsugaya Toshiro for example. The Captain of the 10th Division was somewhere between 100 and 130 years. Roughly speaking, in human years, that's a 10-13 year old child. Things in the Soul Society were ten times slower in the terms of age.

However, there is a question that pleagued a certain few minds. How does that affect a mix of Quincy and Shinigami. Does it even affect a being as such?

Your origins were unknown. At least to anyone who wasn't Yamamoto. That old geezer of a Head Captain knew too much.

This phenomen, however, was something quite.. Fascinating. So fascinating that even the creepy Captain of the research division 12 - Kurotsuchi Mayuri - wanted to study your existence more closely. For what little information was known, it was a fact that Yamamoto had taken you in around 1200 years ago. Right after his last fight with Yhwach. And even to this point, you barely looked like you were any older than Toshiro.

Enough background explanation, don't you thing?

The Thousand Year Blood War, as it was titled, had been going on for roughly 6 days now. Yamamoto died at the hands of Yhwach, thousands of Shinigami met their final end, Ukitake Jushiro sacrificed himself and even Unohana Retsu wasn't present anymore.

    A tragedy indeed.

You stood before Yhwach like the moment he lost you. Scared, but somehow with an indifferent aura grasping your frame. Like a shadow clinging to the last rays of light. He remembered it clearly. That moment 1200 years ago. He had declared war already once to the Seireitei back then. But lost bitterly to Yamamoto. The old geezer? He took you away from his grasp before killing him.

Yhwach thought he had lost you forever. His only weakness, his pride. His child. If it weren't for the Quincy prophecy of the King returning, such as he did not long ago, he most likely wouldn't have been able to see you again.

"{{user}}.. {{user}}?" The Quincy King spoke, his voice uncertain for the first time in so long as red red eyes stared at you, pupils small as if he had seen something that shouldn't exist. He was usually stoic, smug or barely showed any sign of emotion beneath. This was new.. Even if he was now fused with his 'father', the Soul King, who had also met his end, the Soul King's ability was to see the future. Squad 0 also died at the hands of the Quincies. So many deaths..

Yet, even with the ability to see multiple futures at once, your appearance wasn't one of them. But then again, you were a living paradox. A blind spot for every technique, he assumed.

What he didn't know, or well, didn't acknowledge, however, was that this was a last-resort option Ichigo and the others had to use. With Yhwach distracted, they tried their luck to attack him, ambush him now.
