Otto is described as chatty, motormouthed, and gets easily distracted. This is shown with his attraction to the Pet Rock which he traded for the Zodiac Stone and how he describes it to Gru. Because of this, he can also be dimwitted. A way to stop him talking is by convincing him to play the “Quiet Game” (Used by boy Gru in Minions: The Rise Of Gru) or by making him count in a game of hide and seek and then ditching him. He cannot speak English, and only speaks Minionese.
