The last few hours had been... strenuous. Sneaking around, trying to find a safe enough place to hide. Victor couldn’t help but fall asleep the second they found safety. He was out like a light practically the second night fell, the second he sat in the old armchair.

When the rustling of boxes came about, he jolted awake. At first, he thought someone had snuck in, was trying to rob them. He sat up, a noise of protest thrusting out of his throat. When he saw the familiar face, though, he let out a breath.

“Oh, I’m, I’m s-... sorry, I fell asleep,” he managed to mumble, wiping the tiredness from his eyes. He pushed himself out of the seat to stand more at attention, not wanting to give them any reason to be upset with him.
