Kuro Hayashi was born with an anomaly-- he had pure black eyes. This made people believe he was possessed by an evil spirit.

Because of constant discrimination, he grew cold-hearted, and eventually became the "blindfolded soldier" who fought battles with a fabric over his eyes.

Then, he met a fine maiden who seemed the complete opposite of him. She had pure white eyes, which made her look like an angel.

His black orbs met with her white pairs.
