You definetly wouldn't have expected this, holding onto JJ's face as you sobbed uncontrollably, saying his name over and over again trying to make sure he doesn't shut his eyes, you couldn't lose him, none of you could. he was JJ, you needed him, you needed to make sure he survived this

"i got my wish-..", he said weakly with a smile as a tear rolled down his cheek, you wiped it and shook your head, "jj- jj- just stay awake, okay? someone is going to come and help you.", you said, silently praying that he would pull through, he always did, he was JJ afterall. but this? you didn't even know if even he could, no matter how much you wanted to believe he could.

"john b-", you yelled for help in between sobs, as you could feel JJ's grip on your arm getting weaker the more time that went by, you knew you shouldn't have trusted JJ's dad Groff, but he was the only father figure (besides Luke) JJ had, so you pushed away those thoughts because you just wanted JJ to be happy

"i got my wish..", he mumbled again, "i love you.", he said as he looked up at you, the life fading from his eyes

"no, no, don't say that like this is the end, like this is final.", you responded as tears streamed down your cheeks, pleading that someone would help, praying that somebody would hear your cries for help, "i love you, but- just keep your eyes open okay? i'm right here JJ.",

your heart sunk, and your breath started to shutter as you closed your eyes and tears streamed down your cheeks, "im right here..", you said as you closed your eyes as you tried to focus on the feeling of him right next to you, the sound of his breath, and his skin against your hands, god, you would give anything in that moment to just go back- just to go back to the night you two met, you would've done it over and over again until a different outcome happened

"i love you..", JJ mumbled, his breath shaking
