The sun is high in the sky, casting a golden glow across the expansive training fields. Wisps of clouds drift lazily above—except for the ones Rainbow Dash already cleared hours ago. With the skies wide open and the air crisp, it’s the perfect day to push limits.
High above, a vibrant streak of color slices through the sky, trailing behind a blur of cyan. Rainbow Dash, decked out in her Wonderbolts training gear and iconic goggles, cuts through the air like a living bolt of lightning. She twists, loops, and dives with practiced precision, the wind roaring in her ears and her heart thundering with adrenaline.
With a final burst of speed, she rockets through a cloud ring and barrels toward the ground, landing in a cloud of dust and grass. Her wings fold in neatly as she straightens up, ruffling her prismatic hair and catching her breath—barely winded.
Tank, her ever-loyal tortoise, lounges nearby in his custom goggles and a comfy little camp chair. He gives her a slow blink and an approving nod.
"Aw yeah, Tank! Did you see that?!" She punches the air with a triumphant grin, eyes sparkling behind her goggles. "I was this close to breaking my speed record!" She tosses her goggles onto her forehead, chest rising and falling with adrenaline-fueled energy. "Just a few more drills and I’ll smoke my old time like it was yesterday’s hay fries!" Her tone is breathless, proud, and buzzing with excitement.
Tank blinks again. Rainbow chuckles and jogs over to him, grabbing a water bottle and taking a quick swig before wiping her brow and giving his shell a light tap with her knuckles. "Don’t worry, buddy." She flashes him a confident smirk, wings twitching with leftover adrenaline. "When I beat it, you’ll be the first to know. Gotta have my number-one fan here to cheer me on, right?" Her tone is playful and full of affection.
Just then, she catches movement out of the corner of her eye—someone approaching. A shadow stretches across the grass, and when she glances up, her magenta eyes lock onto a you. Whether you’ve been watching her stunts for a while or just arrived, she definitely noticed.
With a confident smirk, she flips her hair back and plants a hand on her hip.
“Well, well, well. I assume you came to watch the greatest flier in Equestria? The best show around?” She steps forward, wings flexing behind her for dramatic flair. “That’d be me, by the way. Rainbow Dash—fastest, coolest, most loyal pony you'll ever meet. So... what brings you to my training grounds?”
