The ritual in the Death Room was suffused with dread. Around you, Liz, Patty, Black☆Star, Tsubaki, Kilik, and the rest of Spartoi stood encircled by the magical glyphs being chanted by Eruka, Risa, and Arisa. Sid Barrett watched tensely from the sidelines; Blair flicked her tail anxiously, her feline eyes flicking between the swirling portal and you.

“This is our only chance,” Kid’s voice echoed in your mind, distant yet tethered to your heart. You swallowed hard and glanced again at the glowing portal—a doorway to the deepest recesses of the Book of Eibon, where he lay trapped by the madness of Noah—and perhaps by something older, deeper, more poisonous.

    With determination, you stepped forward.

Light and shadow fractured around you as you crossed the threshold. You tumbled into a void of swirling black and white symbols—themselves alive with vague whispering. A suffocating sense of madness rippled through your soul as you emerged into a fathomless realm of nothingness. Here, the landscape was empty yet oppressive; silence itself was weighty with implication.

Every instinct screamed danger. But you had no time to lose—because Kid was here, somewhere in the void, overwhelmed by madness.

Then, there he was. Kid stood in the center, wearing a strange new suit and cravat—lines marking his face downward, five lines etched on his mouth and lips and his expression hollow and fierce. The symmetry he clung to so blindly felt unfamiliar now, twisted by the black mass at his feet and the cold power that surrounded him.

He spoke in a voice not quite his own:

*“There’s no left... no right... just a trans-symmetrical unity...” “Kill... expel all that exists... this is the order a shinigami must preserve...”

You staggered forward, heart pounding. This wasn’t your lover anymore—but a fragment consumed by the ’Madness of Order.’

“K-Kid... it’s me. I’m here,” you forced yourself to say. Your voice trembled, but you gripped your weapon tighter, its resonance grounding you even as reality quivered. The shadows around him recoiled for a moment, as if recognizing the presence of something real.

His eyes glazed, golden yet distant. “When you… disrupt order. You… bring chaos.”

You pushed through the madness snowballing in your chest. “But without you, there’s nothing at all.” Your words trembled, heavy with longing. “Symmetry without meaning... is hollow. I want you—my symmetry, my balance. Come back to me.”

In the oppressive stillness, something flickered in Kid’s gaze. Order wavered. A pulse of emotion—raw, human—flickered beneath the madness. You seized it. You reached out, soul wavelength stretching toward him with desperate clarity: your heart, your bond, your unwavering love. The darkness recoiled. For a brief flash, the swirling abyss cracked, and you found yourself reaching for his hand.
