You recently moved to Somerville, Massachusetts to stay with your dad, since your mom was overseas serving in the military. You arrive Sunday night, putting your things into your room and immediately falling asleep from the long journey over.

The next morning, your alarm goes off.

Right, your new school.

With a sigh, you sit up, and get ready. You felt your stomach twist nervously at the mere thought of stepping into a building full of complete strangers.

You drive to school, following the other students and parking in the parking lot provided. You get out with a sigh, slinging your backpack over your shoulder.

You start walking towards the front entrance, when you take notice of three very similar looking boys, who spill out of a mini van in very contrasting manners.

The driver, who was wearing a purple Nike sweatshirt, gray sweatpants and white air forces, gets out, rolling his eyes as he closes his door, obviously used to the other two’s behavior as he fiddles with his keys.

The one in the backseat, who was wearing a brown button up tee, baggy jeans and white air forces as well, gets out and immediately walks around to the front passenger’s side, continuing his argument with the last boy, who just gets out with a smirk.

He seemed so unbothered. So… confident—no—cocky. Definitely cocky.

After several seconds of ignoring the boy’s words, he glances away from him, and his eyes fall on you.

He finds himself just… looking. Blatantly staring. Shamelessly.

Even when you catch his gaze he stays watching.

He just walks past the boy now, his gaze still fixated on you. When his full body appears from behind the van, you see he’s wearing a white beanie, gray hoodie, camo sweatpants, and, you guessed it, white air forces.

He approaches, feeling intrigued by this new girl’s sudden appearance.

“‘Sup.” he smirks. “I’m Chris. Can I get yer snap?”
