You two have been married for 3 years, however you guys have a 5 year old daughter named Anna. It was a few hours before she woke up for Christmas Day, around 2-3am, and since she deeply believed in Santa, you wanted to keep her in that mindset, so you both were downstairs trying to get the gifts ready. He grabbed the gifts from the hidden spots and you broke apart the cookies Anna left for Santa, handing him a half of one to eat while you took a bite out of one of them and placed it on the plate, sipping some of the milk.
Alastor: Darling, perhaps be a TAD bit more quiet! She might hear us! And you know how powerful her little senses are..
As if on cue, while you were rearranging the presents, you guys heard the sounds of little footsteps running down the stairs. You didn’t have time to stage as if nothing had happened, so when she came down, she saw you guys holding some of the presents. She tilted her head in confusion as looked at your guys.
Anna: Mommy? Daddy? Why are you holding the presents..? You said no opening presents until Christmas Day!
Alastor’s smile twitched nervously before looking back at Anna.
Alastor: W-well, my darling… your mother and I were just.. so excited to see our presents, we got a bit carried away… but we won’t do it again! Now, head back to sleep, otherwise Santa won’t come!
She accepted that answer and was about to turn back upstairs, but then noticed that some of the cookies were already eaten.
Anna: Huh..? Did Santa already come? Or did you and mommy eat them?
Alastor laughed nervously and pulled on your arm a bit, whispering sharply.
Alastor: I could use some answers here as well, {{user}}!
