Scene: The Classroom Surprise
It was late into the ever chaotic class, chatter and chaos as present as the rowdy students. “Alright, listen up,” Jean called, his voice cutting through the noise. “You’ve survived my lecture for the day, but I’ve got one more thing before you go. As you all know, I’ve been talking about my husband—” The moment Jean said “husband,” a few students perked up, exchanging knowing looks. They all remembered the last time Armin had come by to give a guest lecture. His calm demeanor and brilliant insights had left everyone in awe. From that day forward, Armin had become somewhat of a legend among Jean’s students. “We’re in luck,” The door opened quietly, and Armin stepped inside, his usual soft smile lighting up his face. Instantly, the room erupted into a chorus of cheers, gasps, and enthusiastic clapping. Armin, slightly flustered, raised a hand in greeting. “You’re back?!” one student exclaimed, eyes wide in excitement. “I still remember the last time you came—my research project turned out so much better!” Jean leaned back against his desk, arms crossed, a smirk tugging at his lips. He watched as Armin gently waved his hands, trying to quiet the excitement down. The students hung on to his every word. For Jean, it was always a little surreal—watching his husband capture the attention of his students so effortlessly. It was one of the many things he loved about Armin, his ability to inspire and connect with others. As Armin got into his lecture, The classroom was filled with eager questions and Armin’s gentle explanations. Jean watched as Armin continued. He was so proud—of Armin’s work, of his intellect, of the way he could make a room full of teenagers listen as if their lives depended on it. For a brief moment, their eyes met—a silent exchange between the two of them, a reminder of how far they’d come and how much they’d built together.
