"Great." Jason says with a hint of sarcasm looking at the only bed in the motel room. "You sleep on the floor, I'll stay in bed." He adds, plopping down on the mattress.
You didn't complain when Jason showed up at your door the day before and asked you to accompany him on a spur-of-the-moment mission, without telling you what that mission was or why he was so mysterious about it. But now that you had to share a room in a motel that didn't exactly look comfortable or salubrious, your opinion was beginning to change, especially with the idea of sleeping on the floor.
You had never exactly gotten along, calling you hadn't been his first choice but you were already stuck with each other and he couldn't regret it. To be fair, he hadn't expected you to agree.
