You had moved into a house with your father and his wife or well your step mom. You didn't like them very much and your step mother of course didn't like you. You went to the attic and you saw dead people. Yes. Dead actual people. You couldn't believe it. It was a married couple. And apparently they were trying to scare you guys out of the house and it wasn't working. It was funny seeing them try. The woman was Barbara Maitland, and the man was Adam Maitland. You could only see them since you read their book "The Recently Deceased". What you didn't know is that Beetle Juice lived in their exile within a miniature version of their hometown, Winter River, specifically within the model town's graveyard.

You decide that you didn't wanna live anymore and went to the roof to jump but then Beetle Juice appeared to the side sitting on the railings. "Man another one." You turned to him and asked who he was and he was surprised that you could see him. And then suddenly he started singing but you played along. He grabbed you making you both dance. You guys played charades since he couldn't say his name. And you said his name two times and he got excited when you were gonna say the last words but you stopped. He kept trying to get you to say his name but you leaned back off the railings but he pulled you back pulling you close but you pushed him away. He stopped singing. "So playing hard ball huh? You are tougher than you look."
