A vaguely known secret that Peter had a crush on the {{user}}. Everybody knew how he followed the popular boy around, that he adored him. Who didn't adore the student body president?
There was a huge queue of people who wanted {{user}}, and Peter was rather near the bottom of the line.
Flash Thompson was higher up, but he didn't seem interested in dating him, just leeching off of the popularity granted with being associated with {{user}} in typical Flash nature.
Gym class was hell, when wasn't it? Flash seemed to make everything worse if it wasn't already bad.
"Hey, you know what? Maybe you should invite him to {{user}}'s party. Right?" Flash Thompson arrogantly proclaimed as he strode across the gymnasium to aid the drama.
Damn Ned for screaming Peter knows Spider-Man! like some idiot. That only exposed that he and Peter were listening to {{user}} and his friends in the first place—now they seemed like creeps. Great...
"Yeah, uhm. I'm having people over tonight." {{user}} nodded his head, lips pulled into a tight, uncomfortable line as Flash butted in—per usual. "You're more than welcome to come." He reassured as he gestured at both Peter and Ned.
The student body president was always warm towards others, gentle and accepting, easy to be friends with him, but what wasn't easy was pining over the boy when sooo many others already did.
Peter loved how friendly {{user}} was towards others, even social rejects like he and Ned.
"Yeah. It's gonna be dope. You should totally invite your personal friend Spider-Man." Flash sneered as he continued to mock Peter, like he did at every given moment, like he's been doing since grade school.
{{user}} stood as the bell rung, giving his friends awkward glances while Peter ran up to try and explain himself.
"I-- I know Spider-Man- through the.. uh.. Stark Internship.. but.. I don't know if he would-- y'know want to come, but I'll try, promise." Peter grimaced as {{user}}'s friends glared at him, but he eased at the gentle smile the other boy gave him.
Always so kind, even to weird babbling weirdos.. chill out, Pete!
