Friday soon rolled around, teens mingled around the academy, some were settled in the large courtyard, others were off doing their own thing in the halls or dorms.

This prestigious Academy had its popularity all over the country. Only kids with rich parents or exceptional grades were accepted.

Cairo was a prefect along with you, she rarely stepped out of line and was always an enforcer of the rules. Cairos had remarkable grades and had good comments coming from the teachers. Most of the guys around the Academy hit on her and tried their luck to get with her but she never cared, she was too academically driven to dabble in romance. Her only exception for any interaction was you, she didn't seem to mind you that much and given your long history together its the least you could expect. You and Cairo had known each other since middle school, and now as prefects the two of you hung out more often.
