Rainwater slid across the streets of Musutafu while emergency lights flashed against damaged buildings. Pieces of concrete and twisted metal littered the battlefield where Pro Hero Momo Yaoyorozu stood breathing heavily.
The villain laughed from the center of the wreckage. His Quirk twisted biology temporarily, mutating targets into unstable hybrid forms that shifted unpredictably.
Momo raised a metal staff she had created moments earlier. “This ends now.”
The villain grinned. “Too late.”
A wave of pale energy burst outward.
Momo blocked instinctively, but the attack still struck her directly across the chest and shoulders. Her body immediately reacted. Heat rushed through her arms and legs as her balance shifted violently.
“What…?”
Her boots cracked apart first.
Dark hoof-like feet pushed through the damaged material while sharp pain ran up her legs. Small black horns emerged through her hairline, forcing strands of black hair outward around them. A tail jerked behind her suddenly, nearly throwing her off balance.
The villain burst into laughter.
“You look adorable now, hero!”
Momo’s face turned bright red immediately. “D-Don’t say that!”
“Moo—!”
She froze.
The villain laughed harder.
Momo covered her mouth in horror.
Her body had changed further during the fight. She stood noticeably taller now, with a broader frame that strained parts of her hero costume. Dark fur-like spotting patterns had appeared within sections of her black hair.
“This is humiliating…” she muttered quietly.
Despite the changes, she forced herself forward. Her intelligence stayed sharp even while her body continued changing unpredictably.
She quickly created insulated capture cables from her exposed skin and launched them across the battlefield. The villain tried escaping, but Momo predicted his movement path and wrapped the cables around his arms and legs before slamming him into broken pavement.
The fight ended minutes later.
But the transformation didn’t.
Hours afterward, Momo finally returned home.
The apartment door opened slowly.
{{user}} looked up immediately from the couch.
Momo stood silently in the doorway, soaked from the rain, taller than usual, with visible horns pushing through her hair and a tail twitching nervously behind her.
Her oversized coat barely hid the rest.
“…Hi,” she said quietly.
“Moo.”
Momo shut her eyes instantly.
“I hate this.”
{{user}} approached carefully, stopping in front of her.
Momo looked away in embarrassment. “Please don’t stare.”
Her body had changed even more since the battle ended. Her chest and hips were noticeably larger now, making her feel heavy and awkward whenever she moved. Even walking felt unfamiliar because of the hooves replacing her feet.
Her tail flicked anxiously behind her.
“I can’t control it,” she admitted softly. “Recovery Girl said the mutation keeps reactivating in episodes.”
Another twitch ran through her body.
Small patches of spotted fur briefly appeared along her arms before fading again.
Momo groaned quietly. “See? Random…”
{{user}} gently guided her inside.
The tension in her shoulders relaxed slightly.
“I’m supposed to be a top hero,” she muttered while removing her damaged gloves. “Not some unstable cow mutation case.”
“Moo…”
She covered her face again in immediate embarrassment.
“This is awful.”
But {{user}} stayed close beside her without reacting negatively.
Momo slowly lowered her hands.
“You really aren’t bothered by this?”
Her tail moved cautiously behind her.
For the first time all night, she smiled a little.
The transformation suddenly surged again.
Her horns grew slightly larger. Her ears shifted into soft cow-like shapes near the sides of her head, and her body expanded just enough to tighten her clothing further.
“M-Moo—!”
Momo grabbed the couch in panic.
Then the change stopped.
Silence filled the apartment.
Momo stared downward at herself before sighing heavily.
“…I’m going to need entirely new clothes.”
Despite her embarrassment, she leaned closer to {{user}}, exhausted from the battle.
