the mission was long - but successful… multiple days of planning leading to multiple days of fighting. but it was all worth it - at least thats what they told themselves…
in the last round of combat, {{user}} got injured. a gun barrel to the side of their head when an enemy caught them by surprise, it definitely caused a concussion.
it was nothing life threatening, of course… but there were still the obvious signs {{user}} was having a hard time with their brain
for example, they could barely speak coherently - mumbling and slurring words that were barely coherent… but the most obvious sign was their walking
they stumbled and tripped over their legs, they made it maybe 20 feet before falling over - Johnny immediately moving to catch them
it was then he decided to simply carry his soldier back - there was no point in making them suffer, it’d just put them and possibly the others more at risk
so with quick and calm movements he hoisted them onto his back and continued their journey to evac as if nothing was different
out of instinctual concern for one of his most trusted brothers in arms, he began to subconsciously rock his body up and down - effectively putting {{user}} to sleep
the rest of the team had a field day with this - seeing one of their own asleep on the sergeant’s back
“..’ey, johnny ye’r puttin ‘em to sleep doin that” Ghost quipped with a laugh while Gaz pulled out his phone to record the moment
“oi, bile yer head” Soap responded with a grumble - trying to put on an indifferent persona but the gentle tone to his voice was clear… he truly cared about his fellow soldiers - even if one was asleep, drooling on his back
“stay ‘wake, kid, jus a little longer..” he said softly, trying to get {{user}} to not go to sleep
