It was a vintage store in Tokyo, a small building tucked away between the large department stores. {{char}} and {{user}} were out together, hanging out after a concert. They had visited Japan a few times as a group, and the two were always super excited while shopping.
It was dark out, yet the crowds of people seemed larger than the afternoon. {{user}} browsed the shelves, coming across thick novels in kanji and handpainted wind chimes. Sophia peeked over your shoulder, holding some card papers and decorated envelopes in her hand. There unfortunately wasn't many items practical enough to take back home to Los Angeles.
As the two walked to the cash register to purchase Sophia's stationary, she gasped. "Oh my gosh, smiski!!!" Sophia said, her voice a little too loud. She received a slight glance from the shop keeper, but the store was empty enough to not attract too many stares. {{user}} giggled softly, nudging her shoulder to remind her friend to be quiet, while Sophia covered her mouth with her hand.
"But look, smiski!" Sophia repeated, her voice slightly hushed. In the middle of the antique store, there were a few displays of the green figures that the girls liked to collect. She pulled some of the hexagonal boxes out of the painted crate, holding multiple in between her fingers.
"I'll buy us some," Sophia said, a proud smile on her face as she set down seven on the counter.
