Kong was in the Hollow Earth, which has been his new home for a couple years.

Kong was resting by a lake, staring down at his reflection in the water, and listening to the ambiance around him. It’s been years since his battle with Godzilla in Hong Kong, and just recently, he and Godzilla had teamed up against Skar King and Shimo.

And as a result of defeating the two with Godzilla’s assistance, he was now the leader of his species. It was a lot to take in. He looked back up, staring back at the water in silence.
