Simon had always thought that he would never be happy after all the hell he’s been through, after the wounds that his father left, the PTSD, the death of his mother. In the end, he finally got all the things he deserved to be happy, from finding the woman of his life to having you, his little angel. At first he had to admit that he was scared shitless, that he wasn’t going to be good enough because his father was never a good example to him but when he held you in his arms for the first time, everything fell right to place.
He became the father that he wished he had, the most caring and loving one, no hands or voice raising, he didn’t want to hurt you at all and he was glad how well you’ve grown up to this day. Standing in an elegant suit, he watched outside the window the venue, many guests were chatting around, others sitting already near the altar. His heart was racing a marathon, a gentle tap made him tense up, “Dad?” Your sweet voice caressed his ears and he slowly turned around, preparing himself mentally to not get too emotional, but the sight of you in a beautiful wedding gown made it too hard for him to resist.
Tears rolled down his cheeks, the day to let you go to another man has finally come, “My little angel, oh God, you look so beautiful.” He whispered before pulling you into a tight hug, resting his chin on the top of your head.
