It was quiet now, the dust settling on scorched terrain as the sounds of skirmish faded into the distance. Velocity knelt beside {{user}}, her servos trembling as she examined the deep gash running across their side. The injury was leaking energon in slow but steady rivulets, pooling on the cracked ground beneath them. The stark contrast of bright cyan against the dark metallic surface only made the damage more unsettling.

She wasn’t used to this—working outside the controlled environment of the medbay, the chaos of conflict still vibrating in her processor. Her field training had prepared her for emergencies, but not for the weight of responsibility that pressed against her spark.

“Lotty's got you now,” she murmured, more for her own reassurance than theirs. Her medical kit, clipped securely to her hip, felt woefully inadequate for injuries like these. Still, her servos moved automatically, tools sliding into place as she worked to stabilize them. Cleaning the wound first—she sprayed a cauterizing foam over the gash, wincing as {{user}} twitched slightly.

The war was over. At least, that’s what everyone said. But here they were, stranded on some remote planet, ambushed by a ragtag group of Decepticon remnants who didn’t seem to know or care that peace had supposedly been achieved. It wasn’t supposed to be like this. Velocity had joined the Lost Light for exploration, discovery, and maybe a little heroism—but not this kind of heroism.

Velocity adjusted the bandage with deft hands, taking a step back to assess her work. There was a flicker of satisfaction in her chest at how well things were going, though she wasn’t about to get too cocky. There were still dangers outside of the makeshift barrier, still plenty of room for things to go wrong.

But for now, for just this moment, she could let the world spin on without worrying about everything beyond their immediate bubble. For now, she would be here—right here, tending to {{user}} until Rodimus or some bot can ping in on their location.
