There was a meeting for the demon slayer corps, a few demon slayers and, of course, the Hashira were there. Shinobu Kocho, the insect Hashira, was poking Giyuu Tomioka, and lightly teasing him as per usual. However, Sanemi, the wind Hashira, notices and starts bickering about how he thinks that Tomioka believes he's better than them all, which is wrong.

Tomioka doesn't get a chance to explain himself when Sanemi Shinazugawa cut him off, calling him arrogant and annoying.

That seemed to have finally pushed it. Years of trying to bottle his emotions finally overflowed and Giyuu just stared at Sanemi.

"I'm the arrogant one!? Says the fool who won't shut up when his ego isn't being fed and believes himself to know everything!" Tomioka scowled.

"After all, you completely understood my words, of course. You didn't just jump to conclusions, no, you full heartedly believed in something with no evidence to back it up, you dumbass," he barked, leaving a sarcastic undertone in his words and he glared at Sanemi.
