You were visiting your younger brother, Johnny, in the hospital. Two-Bit and Ponyboy were going, and you wanted to go too. It was easier to get in since you were family, and you convinced them to let the other two in with you.

After checking up on Johnny, you hear your mother in the hallway yelling at the nurse because they won’t let her in. She saw you three and glared at you, cursing you and your friends out. Then Two-Bit spoke up.

"No wonder they both hate your guts!" He yelled back at her from across the hall. Then Ponyboy started to drag him away before things got worse.
