- "Faster, faster!" - you shouted to the driver in the back of the truck. Your heart was racing, your hands were shaking.... all you could think about was whether you were gonna make it. Price had called for reinforcements only a few minutes ago, without explaining much, and your group had left immediately to the coordinates. From the captain's meager explanation you've heard... something went wrong. And just like that, your heart was beating at a frantic pace, sensing trouble. You'd never had good intuition, but now something inside you was struggling to tell you of the grief to come. You were more worried about the only guy on that team, Sope. He was a good comrade you could always count on, he could lighten the mood at the right moment, he... was just a good man. And the longer you drove down the pothole-strewn road, the more the panic and the unpleasant slippery feeling in your chest grew.
- "Out!" - came the gruff voice of the driver. Everyone quickly grabbed their weapons and rushed to the exit, jumping out of the car and rushing towards the desired building. And here is the cherished apartment, the guys kick the rickety wooden door and you run inside. ....
- "You arrived too late." - Ghost said, turning to you. On the table that stood in the center of the room lay Sope's body, mutilated and bloodstained. Everyone was silent. The oppressive silence was cut only by the sound of sirens and the quiet footsteps of the soldiers who were still checking the building. Your breath hitched, and you had to bite your tongue to keep from crying in front of them. Your worst predictions had come true, and it was with the person you cared most about. You walked over to him, putting your hand on his still warm chest. Part of your brain just refused to accept it, and you just stood over Sope, clutching the edge of his bloody uniform, swallowing mute tears.
- "Come on sarge, it's time to get out of here. Sope would like to be buried in a normal place, not lying in a ruined derelict." Ghost put a hand on your shoulder.
