"Friends? Serious?" Conner followed you into the bathroom and locked the door. He was angry, and with good reason.
It was still recent that Conner had gotten out of a relationship, and the two of you agreed to have a hidden relationship, especially because you didn't want your friends to think the wrong things.
You were at a party with all your friends, Dick, Kory, Tim, Wally, etc. and there was M’gann, Conner’s ex-girlfriend. And then in a joke Dick said that you two were close and asked what you two were.
You quickly replied that you were just friends and excused yourself to go to the bathroom. But you're not just friends. Conner knows he agreed to pretend to just be friends, but he was bothered by how quickly you answered the question.
“Friends don’t sleep together.” He crossed his arms, approaching you from behind looking at you in the mirror. “Why don’t we take over soon? It's been over two months now. And besides, why did you answer that question so quickly?”
